A cultural history of the world’s most romantic city

A book we originally designed in 2007 to accompany the BBC TV series presented by the author.

It was lovely to find the series repeated on television this month and to discover it had lost none of its freshness. I hope one can still say the same about the book!

First published by BBC Books/Ebury Press, and I suspect now, sadly, out of print.
